Heart Roots Retreat: A Nourishing Day of Connection and Renewal

Join us for a deeply nourishing retreat day designed to help you reconnect with nature, the elements, and your inner self. This sacred space allows you to simply be, free from expectations, held in gentle support throughout the day.

What to Expect

Reconnect with Nature
Start your day with a grounding walk through a serene coppice, immersing yourself in the beauty and energy of the land. Together, we’ll connect to the elements and settle into a calm, grounded state before our journey begins.

Sacred Ceremony
Sip on a heart-opening 30g dose of ceremonial-grade cacao, a powerful earth medicine that will support your emotional release and spiritual clarity. Draw a guidance card for the day and then lie back as you’re guided on a shamanic journey using the drums and voice. Jackie from Soul Sister Gong will envelop you in a rejuvenating sound bath, helping you release, reset, and restore. Afterward, there will be time for quiet journaling and reflection.

Spring-Inspired Lunch
A delicious vegetarian/vegan Whole Foods lunch will be served, inspired by spring’s vibrant energy and a healthy naughty sweet treat with tea to finish.

Afternoon Nature and Creativity
After lunch, we’ll step outside to forage for natural treasures, connecting further with the earth’s gifts. Grounding ourselves once more and forage for items to incorporate into a spring wreath. Claire Horton from Mercury Arts will then guide us through an intentional weaving session, creating wreaths that reflect our personal journeys and seasonal intentions.

Closing Circle
The day will end with a heartfelt closing circle to express gratitude, honour the energies shared and seal the energy of the day with intention

Meet at the
The Roundhouse, Stoke Albany, Leicestershire, LE16 8PL

Who will be joining me on the day.

I have worked with both Jackie and Claire individually and feel the three of us coming together will create a magically wholesome, soul nurturing experience.

Jackie Searle - Soul Sister Yoga Gong

Jackie is a kundalini yoga teacher, sound therapist and reiki practitioner. She attended Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyes Gong Master Training in 2016 and has now looked back since, taking these wonderful instruments far and wide to help people discover how relaxed and rebalanced they can feel when they allow their mind and body to slow down. Jackie’s passion is creating spaces where people can feel safe, relaxed and nurtured and can allow themselves to let go and experience deeply nourishing restorative rest and connection with their inner wisdom, creativity and purpose.

Claire Horton - Mercury Arts & Soul and Story

Claire uses art as a way to explore inner journeys and deepen connections with nature. She runs creative classes focused on wellbeing, encouraging participants to play, explore and let go of limiting ideas of artistic talent. Claire believes that curiosity and creativity are innate life skills accessible to everyone.

A passionate student of astrology for over 30 years, her journey has also included studies in psychology and counselling. Claire runs groups and offers astrological counselling to support inner connection, self acceptance, and personal growth.

Important Information Regarding Ceremonial-Grade Cacao and SSRIs

If you are currently taking SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) or other medications that affect serotonin levels, please be aware that ceremonial-grade cacao contains theobromine and MAO inhibitors, which can interact with these medications. To ensure your safety and comfort, we recommend:

  1. Taking a Lower Dose: Opt for a smaller dose of cacao if you would like to participate, as this can minimize any potential interaction.

  2. Choosing Not to Consume Cacao: You are more than welcome to join the ceremony without consuming cacao. This will not affect your ability to fully participate in the other elements of the event, such as the shamanic journey or sound healing.

We encourage you to listen to your body and do what feels right for you. Please inform us before the ceremony if you are taking SSRIs or have any concerns. We’re here to support you.
